Shea Homes - Advertising Campaign

Basically my employer asked all of the artists to design an ad campaign. The campaign would consist of two double trucks (that means two full page ads that are next to each other - like a centerfold), 1 double truck to be a branding/image ad, the other double truck the sales ad, an insert which is a front and back 10" x 10" piece and two online ads - banner and a tower web ads. We all had access to the Shea Homes advertising art - logos, photos, etc... We had to come up with everything. I mean everything, the copy, the offers, the pics, layout, EVERYTHING!!! All 24 artists did this project. Each piece had to be mounted and then presented to to a panel that would narrow the 24 entries down to a smaller number then those would be presented to the VP's at Shea Homes.

In terms of dollars, this is without a doubt the biggest contract that I've worked on - $600,000 +.

So out of the 24, mine was selected to a smaller group that was presented to the big wigs at Shea Homes. Then from there mine was selected in the top 4 that got Shea Homes to not only sign the contract, but the contract was for more than what was first settled on. So I was given a bonus... We'll see what happens next.

NES West - Help Wanted Flier Designs

NES West provides concert staff to big events. One of my buddies works for them handling the employment. So he asked me to do some help wanted fliers to be distributed on college campuses.

Here they are - all images are from the web. 8 designs in total on 8.5x11 paper prepared to be printed out and cut in fours with guerilla/grass-roots marketing tactics in mind.

What ever you want to call it... Both of these were total concept designs. The Dig This page was for a new publication, its a page mock-up. The publication never saw the light of day.

The other was a spec ad for that publication that never happened - Pep Boys. Again, this was all concept stuff that I came up with. All the copy, images, etc...

I did this one a while back. It was for a salon. They supplied the logo and the photo of the girl. Thats it. I did the rest. I thought it turned out pretty cool. What do you think?

I did this for my brother-in-law. He makes the BEST carnitas. PERIOD.

I dig the little pig's attitude - I thought it was kinda funny.
